Whilst it is rare to get a free polygraph test there are some options that we discuss below.
We have run free polygraph tests where it is of mutual benefit to the company, a good example was a recent documentary where we assisted by running free polygraph tests for the producer, if the documentary is picked up by the television networks then its good publicity for us and the polygraph.
Other ways to get a free polygraph test would involve buying the polygraph equipment yourself and being trained to use it, as this would cost in excess of £15k it is probably not an option. Please do not buy anything advertised on eBay or Amazon as they do not work and are purely made for fun only. There are also a couple of websites that report to run online polygraph tests, I have no idea how this would be possible and again would have no accuracy at all, I also suspect some form of payment would need to be made to receive any results.
Another way to get a free polygraph test would be through the Police or Probation Service who have a Polygraph Program for testing sex offenders on probation and terror suspects. We understand they are very busy with this program, it has been extremely successful and has put many back behind bars. We reported a couple of weeks ago Norfolk Police Constabulary are now advertising for three qualified Polygraph Examiners.
As you may have guessed, there is not such a thing as a free polygraph test I am afraid. We totally appreciate the costs are expensive to take a polygraph test; we charge £399 all-inclusive at our head offices. We do offer the option to make a payment plan to make payments when you can and then take a test, this will allow you to spread the cost. We also take payment on card.
